Eligibility

Who is eligible to receive free Opill?
To be eligible for the Opill CAP, individuals must:
  • Not be covered by commercial or government-provided public insurance. Public insurance includes Medicaid, Medicare, Campus/TRICARE and VA.
  • Have a household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, adjusted for household size; and
  • Reside in the U.S. or a covered U.S. territory. Covered U.S. territories are the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Northern Mariana Islands.

What is the Federal Poverty Level (FPL)? How do I know if I’m at or below 200% of the FPL?
The FPL is determined annually by the U.S. government. For more information about the criteria used to set these levels and for guidance based on income and household size, you can visit the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services website.

What if I don’t qualify for the Opill CAP, but I still can’t afford Opill?
We understand that even if you don’t meet the eligibility requirements of the program, you may experience difficulties paying for Opill. Currently, there is a 5% discount available if you choose to purchase with a subscription at Opill.com.

Information about potential future discounts will be provided as they become available.

My income is lower now than my most recent tax information shows. Will this impact my eligibility?
We understand situations can change. If you're experiencing financial hardship or constraints, like losing your job, you can submit the most recent documentation and/or a letter explaining your situation.

My tax information and/or insurance coverage is tied to my parent(s), but my income is lower than theirs and/or I don’t want them to know I’m seeking contraception. Can I still qualify for the Opill CAP?
If you wish to be evaluated based solely on your income alone, please provide a written account of your situation along with supporting documentation. You may be asked to provide additional documentation as well, such as employment verification, W-2, 1099 or proof of student enrollment.

Application/Verification

How do I apply?
To begin verifying eligibility, please call toll-free at 866-971-3864, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM Eastern Time.

Live agents will be able to assist you throughout the entire process, but a summary is below:

After you’ve given your consent to move forward, you will be asked to provide the following information:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender (Your gender must align with what is listed on your documentation.)

A third-party vendor will then assess your estimated income based on the information provided. If the agent is unable to verify eligibility based on the initial information provided, you may be required to submit additional documentation, such as your most recent tax return or other similar records that reflect your true income. You can learn more about how we use this information by reviewing the Privacy section below.

How long will it take to determine if I’m eligible for the Opill CAP?
Our live telephone agents might be able to complete the eligibility check in just a few minutes. If eligibility verification cannot be determined while on the phone with an agent, including where the agent requires additional documentation, you can choose to submit documentation through a secure webpage. Once the documents are received, the review process would typically take about 2-5 business days. However, each individual’s circumstances are unique, and the actual review time may vary.

Why do you need to verify my income level?
The Opill CAP was created to support those who are most in need of cost assistance. Income verification helps prevent the enrollment of individuals that do not meet the set eligibility requirements.

Privacy

Will my parents/school/friends know that I applied?
Your privacy is our priority! Your information is only used in connection with the Opill CAP and providing related services, and we share it only with third parties who assist us in administering the program and providing related services. We do not notify anyone that you have applied or are enrolled in the program. The information collected will not affect your or anyone else’s credit score, and Opill will not appear on a credit report. Please feel free to read our Privacy Policy or contact us with any questions or concerns.

Is the information I share secure?
The security and privacy of your data is extremely important to us! All information that is collected as part of your application is done so by a third-party vendor and will only be used for the purposes of financial verification, providing you with free or discounted product under the program, and related services. Any information or documentation provided will not be shared with any other entity – government or private – or shared with Perrigo, the makers of Opill – for any purpose other than to administer the program and provide related services as detailed in our Privacy Policy. This process will not affect your credit rating. We take steps to help ensure the security of your information.

Costs

If I qualify, how much will I have to pay for Opill?
Qualified individuals will be able to receive Opill at no or reduced cost.

Will I have to pay for shipping?
Regular shipping is free for those who have qualified for the CAP program. Qualified individuals will have the option to expedite shipping for an additional charge.

Is there a student discount for Opill?
There is not a student discount available at this time. Currently, there is a 5% discount available if you choose to purchase with a subscription at Opill.com.

Information about potential future discounts will be provided if and when they become available.

If I qualify, how long will I be able to receive Opill at low or no cost?
If you qualify, you're eligible to receive Opill under the Opill CAP for up to one year. You can then re-apply for continued assistance, if needed.

Shipping

Once qualified, how will I get my Opill?
If you qualify, we'll send you a unique code along with guidance on how to use it at Opill.com. This code will automatically change the cost of your Opill order. Detailed instructions for use will be provided by the live agent upon qualification and sent via email.

How long will it take to receive my Opill?
While delivery times can vary, orders are usually shipped within 2-3 days after your order is placed

Will my shipment be discreet?
Yes. Your privacy is extremely important to us, so we take great care to ensure that your order is shipped in discreet packaging. We use plain, unbranded packaging for all shipments.

Healthcare Clinics

I am part of a non-profit health clinic that provides contraceptive options for low-income patients. Can I order Opill at low or no cost for our clients?
